Hi,
I’m on Mavericks 10.9.5 build 13F1096, and have had trouble with TotalFinder since installing the last firmware and security updates (Mac EFI Security Update 2015-001 and Security Update 2015-005).
The problem is: in any Finder displayed in List View, when I open a folder by pressing →, the folder expands properly into its file list, but the window loses focus on the selected folder.

As you can see, expanding a folder loses focus on it.
Edit: issue “solved”. This bug happens when items are sorted by “Date Added”.
