I wish you add a “open in new windows” option, or whatever shortcut key (like option double click) when I open a folder. (not in a new tab but another floating window) thanks

Finder has a setting for controlling if folders open in a new window, and you can toggle this behavior by holding down the command ⌘ key while double-clicking on a folder, but TotalFinder also has a setting called freelance windows, but there seems to be some confusion around this setting and I’m seeing some inconsistent behavior as I try this myself on OS X 10.9.5.
I’m still pretty new here, so I’ll keep this in mind as I explore features to expand and fix.
