TotalSpacesCrashWatcher (not Responding) in Console

Hello,
I’m wondering about the “TotalSpacesCrashWatcher (not Responding)” line in Activity Monitor. Everything seems to be working as it should. I’m on Mavericks 10.9.2 and Total Spaces 2.0.17. On a Mac Pro 3,1 (early 2008).

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

I don’t know what caused it. Just kill the process. TotalSpaces will launch it again during next system reboot / next TotalSpaces.app launch.

This process is not very important. It just watches crash logs folder.

Yes, but it reoccurs every day, i.e. after every startup.

Hm, I don’t know more details. Stephen will get back to you when he returns from his travels in couple days.

FWIW, I notice the same thing with two processes: TotalSpacesCrashWatcher and TotalFinderCrashWatcher. They both always display (Not Responding) in Activity Monitor.

Yes, those are our crashwatcher processes. I actually don’t know why they aren’t responding - on our systems they list as ordinary (responding) processes.

@darwin do you have any ideas?

No idea.

Maybe process sampling from the Activity Monitor could tell us more.

The code is here, if someone wanted to review it
