I am running TotalSpaces2 version 2.3.6, and OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. I keep Microsoft Outlook running on one of my desktops (under Parallels). Every time an email arrives, TotalSpaces automatically switches from the desktop I am using to the Outlook desktop. Is there a way to prevent this?
That sounds very annoying. I don’t know if there is any way to prevent that - normally whenever the system requests a space change, we honour it (otherwise things like changing to other spaces by changing apps using cmd-tab or just clicking on the Dock wouldn’t work).
It probably does this without TotalSpaces2 running (you can test it just using Mission Control). If so you could open a ticket with Parallels - it may be that they know a way to prevent Outlook demanding attention in this way.
