When folders on top is enabled, selecting folders is slow/lags to load contents, and often times the selection resets/jumps back to previously selected folder.
Using Column View mode.
Tested on Apple Magic Mouse, Wacom Mouse, and Wacom Pen. Disabling Folders on Top is only thing that fixes it.

Please tell me the specs of your Mac. I’ve actually been unable to reproduce this issue myself, so I’m wonder if there’s a hardware component (though I can’t imagine so).

I’m having a similar issues. When I click the option for folders on top. If I move a window arround it will get stuck and then jump to where my mouse is. Moving files around is lagging and jumpy too. Also I noticed if you do get info. The get info window bugs out like its trying to correct its self to folder first. weird
