OK, just upgraded from OSX10.6 to 10.10, and I’m trying to get something like Spaces back ! TotalSpaces looks promising, but here’s the problem - I start an app (say, Chrome) in one desktop, then switch to a different one. Then I switch to Chrome (to open a new window) and it switches me back to the initial desktop. Can I not have windows from the same app in different desktops ?
Sorry - I found the answer to this myself. Apparently the Mission Control preferences still have some affect with TotalSpaces - I found that Mission Control’s “when switching to an application, switch to a Space with open windows for the application” checkbox was checked. When I cleared that checkbox, TotalSpaces started working the way I expected it to.
