I can’t figure out how to open an existing tab in a new window.
- I have tried to drag a tab to the Desktop to create a new window, but that just copies the folder.
- I have tried shortcuts such as control-command-O, but that just creates a new tab, or replaces existing tab.
- I have tried the toolbar Action menu item “Open in New Window,” but that just creates a new tab.
The only way I have found that works, is to create a new window with e.g. command-N, and then drag existing tab from the old window to the newly created window. This works but is cumbersome.
I can’t figure out what I am missing. I’ve tried with various combinations of sidebar shown / toolbar shown / visor on, and various single and double clicking. Is there a way to open existing tab in a new window?
