System Integrity Protection

Is TS2’s requirement on High Sierra to adjust System Integrity Protection a temporary situation or will is it likely to be longstanding?
I’m not a advanced user and would of course prefer to do a clean, simple install. Happy to wait if it’s just a temporary situation.
Please advise. Thank you!

We are not likely to in the near future be able to access system software on a mac to do what TotalSpaces does without interacting with SIP (meaning disabling it at least for installation). SIP is specifically designed to prevent modifying the way the system software works.

We’d like it if apple gave us an API or mechanism for interacting with the Dock and the native spaces without having to disable SIP, but we haven’t seen any indication that they would do that.
