Hi, hoping someone can help.
Up until very recently, Totalfinder 1.4.23 was playing nicely with Mavericks DP7, and then all of a sudden any attempts to open a finder Window results in a quick flash and then… nothing.
There are some exceptions - one of two connected servers will open in a Finder Window, but others and external drives, and even the main drive itself do not.
If I use Spaces to see if Finder windows are open, I can see that they are but they appear only with the Finder icon and as a very tall blue window without any preview content…
Any help appreciated - I have uninstalled and reinstalled Totalfinder repeatedly, including using AppZapper and rebooting. Nothing has fixed this yet!
Isn’t TotalFinder silently crashing? When you go to Console.app -> User Diagnostics Reports aren’t there piling up files beginning with Finder_something ?
Yes, there are multiple entries - some are quite lengthy. Is there any specific section that you might be able to look at to determine a cause?
Here is the first section of one log:
rocess: Finder [30811]
Path: /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/MacOS/Finder
Identifier: com.apple.finder
Version: 10.9 (10.9)
Build Info: Finder_FE-881000000000000~3
Code Type: X86-64 (Native)
Parent Process: launchd [173]
Responsible: Finder [30811]
User ID: 501
Same situation with 1.4.24… though opening a new Finder window from the dock works fine, opening other finder windows does not; nothing I can see in the crash log…
