Upgrade from TS to TS2, now dragging windows to another desktop on the overview changes their position

When I open the overview grid and drag a window from one desktop to another, in TS(1) the window would take the same position on that desktop that it had on the original desktop. In TS2 the window goes precisely where I drop it, unless I drop it with its titlebar outside the desktop in which case it snaps back to where it started.

I’d like to resolve either of these problems.

Hi,

You can hold the alt key down to allow the window to go to its original position.

Also there is a command like setting to swap this behaviour - see here:
