Clicking on sidebar focuses window behind Finder

Quickly switching between two items in the sidebar focuses the window that is positioned behind Finder
i.e. it feels like the sidebar is really transparent and clicks go through

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Click on unselected sidebar item A
  2. Quickly click on sidebar item B, before item A is selected and visible

Result:
Item A is selected, Finder loses focus and the window behind Finder is focused instead

Expected:
Item B is selected and Finder stays focused

This behaviour does not occur when Folders on top is disabled, probably because that makes selection much faster.
Tested on TotalFinder 1.7.12 & OS X 10.11.3

Thanks for all the details. We’ve seen this issue before, but don’t have a solution yet. However, it’s good to know that disabling “Folder on Top” helped. I have added your name to the request so I can follow up with you as things progress.

Thanks. I’ve searched for similar reports, but must have missed that one, sorry.
