Closing tabs and finder windows

I used to be able to hit command W to close a tab or finder window. Now I have to do finger gymnastics to hold down shift command W. How can I get it back to using command W instead of having to add the shift key.

It should work as expected: CMD+W closes a tab and SHIFT+CMD+W closes whole window with all tabs.

Could you tell what system version do you have, version of TotalFinder and please post a screenshot from “File” submenu of main menu while switched to TotalFinder. Thanks.

I tried it the next day and it works fine. Not sure why, but happy it’s working now.
