CMD + double click does not open window in new tab

Hello,

I’m using TotalFinder 1.11.7 and experience a bug: In earlier versions, I was able to hold the Command key and double-click on another folder to open it in a new tab. This no longer works, it just opens the folder in the same tab instead of a new one.

Could you confirm whether this is a bug or is there a way to fix this myself?

Thank you for your support.

Update: I’ve now downgraded to 1.11.3 and it works as it should. Seems like it’s definitely a bug in the newer versions.

Ok, thanks. Just tested 1.11.7 under macOS 10.14 and it behaves as you described. Looks like a bug. I will look into that.

Thanks a lot for your quick response. Looking forward for the new version. Keep up the great work!

Ok. A workaround in recent versions would be to enter this command in Terminal.app, Force Quit Finder via CMD+OPT+ESC and then launch TotalFinder.app again:

defaults write com.binaryage.totalfinder TotalFinderDontHackWindowCreationOptions -bool yes

I will remove this new code in next release. It was introduced to fight an issue affecting some users, but I don’t believe it works well: https://discuss.binaryage.com/t/tabs-on-visor-are-cut-off

Fixed in TotalFinder 1.11.8:
