(Was a visor activation issue caused by a bug fixed in a newer version. For some reason I had had 1.5.0 installed and it was reporting that there were no updates available, but checking the changelogs indicates that this was fixed in 1.5.2, and the current version is 1.5.3. If anything, there may have been an problem with the update check in 1.5.0? Anyhow, installing 1.5.3 manually has solved the problem!)
