When laying out the grid, it can be difficult to determine which button to click to resize the grid as desired, and I think I have a fix.
The column controls should be moved to the space above the grid, and aligned to the left. The minus button would be on the left. The row controls should be moved to the space to the left of the grid, and aligned to the top. The minus button would be on top.
I think this would be much more intuitive and faster to use, and it would also reduce the number of localization strings.
