Hide .DS_Store files when hidden files are displayed?

Hi,
I’m wondering if there is a feature where hidden files can be displayed, but the pesky .DS_Store files can remain suppressed? If not, I’d like to propose the feature. When hidden files are displayed, maybe there could be a user defined list in the preference pane of file names or patterns to suppress manually (in my case .DS_Store, but I can imagine other examples).

I would truly like this feature. Even if it was purely a hardcoded checkbox for hiding .DS_Store, I would be thrilled.
