Idea: Store & inject pre-set window Views

One of Apple Finder’s most annoying aspects is its inability to globally set a desired view for all windows. There’s some work-arounds (such as blitzing all existing .DS_Store files and starting with a new ‘default’, or using Automator to pre-inject a pre-defined .DS_Store file into every directory) but they’re ineffectual in the long term.

My idea is to give TotalFinder the ability to store ‘Views’ internally and inject an appropriate .DS_Store file into Finder windows, either globally forced, add a ‘default’ from the stored list if not present, and/or add one of the stored ‘Views’ via the TF menu or Command-Option-[1|2|3|4].

Hands up who’d like this one?
