got a new MacBook with Sonoma an reinstalled TotalFinder using the instructions.
Unfortunately like others noticed before the TotalFinder settings tab is not accessible.
As far as I remember, TotalFinder made cut and paste available, but it doesn’t seem to be enabled by default when installed on Sonoma.
Is there any way to enable it manually without going through the Settings tab?
Same issues on Sequoia. Opening TF preferences has been broken for some time. No idea if the maintiner is even working on it anymore.
Xcode is the editor I primarly use, Visual Studio Code is also good with the right extensions to process plist files in a readable format.
Navigate to \Users\home(whatever your home folder is called)\Library\Preferences and open com.binaryage.totalfinder.plist
0 = off
1= on
Other numbers you don’t really need to mess with. If you do, make a backup of the plist in the same library like, com.binaryage.totalfinder.plist.bak or plist.old or just copy it to your documents folder
