Preventing Visor from auto appearing?

Please use this tweak, it should disable it:

Ruminations on Visor behavior (1.4.xx) TotalFinder

Looking at the visor code and there is some hidden tweak which might work as you requested. Please try to execute this in Terminal.app and relaunch Finder+TotalFinder: defaults write com.apple.finder TotalFinderDontAutoSlideVisor -bool YES
