It would be wonderful if Total Finder had a feature that allowed us to make the default Finder view of any and all folders the simple, window without the sidebar or the toolbar. Put simply, I want that sidebar & toolbar dead, smelly rotten bits and bytes pushing up digital daises. Cement galoshes, swim wit da fishes.
I have between 20 and 50 windows open constantly, usually 6 to 12 in the Finder. That sidebar takes up valuable screen real-estate and is visually distracting. I never use the Finder-browser feature and never use the sidebar. Every time I see them I have to press command-option-T which has a distinct wear pattern on my keyboards now.
