Strange missing tab header and non-responsive Visor?

I am having problems with invoking “show in Finder” or similar from an app brings Finder to the front but invokes a non-tabbed window that is completely unresponsive (see grab, attached).

This is on a Mid-2012 MBA running El Cap 10.11.6 (15G1217)

Good news! This annoying “ghost window” bug should be fixed in TotalFinder 1.9.2 (beta):
