Is it possible to have the label color background show on the sidebar? If not, will it be added in a future version? Thank you.
It is not possible at the moment. It has been requested by several people over email already.
I haven’t really had chance to look into it, but it should be possible to implement. But I cannot promise anything at this point.
If what you want is to have a color-coded visual cue associated with folders in the sidebar so you can spot the right one quickly, you can color the folders themselves with a little utility called “folderol”, available in the Mac app store. Just select the color you want, drag the folder you want to color onto folderol’s color swatch, and voila! The folder is colored. Then make sure TotalFinder preferences have “Show color icons in sidebar” selected, and you’re all set.
