I am having a weird issue with my 2018 Mac Mini (2.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7). I have 2 accounts - an admin, which I rarely use, and my normal non-privledged account. I logged into admin to run:
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.libraryvalidation.plist DisableLibraryValidation -bool true
I had previously disabled system protection, so once I did this TotalFinder worked great in the admin account. I then logged out and back into my normal account, and I cannot get TotalFinder to work. After trying a number of things, I gave my normal account admin prig’s, uninstalled and re-installed TF. I also re-ran the command to disable library validation. Even after all that, this account cannot run TF. If I log back into the admin account, TF still runs just fine.
I also have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports). On this system both accounts happen to have admin privs. One account is the company’s, the other is my user account. I logged into my account, disabled library validation, installed the current TF version, and it’s working fine.
Any ideas why my Mac Mini can’t execute TF?
BTW, I’ve been using TF for many years, so my Macs always run with csrutil disabled.
