Will TotalFinder be available in the Mac App Store? Not by Apple's rules

A good question is whether TotalFinder will be in the Mac App Store, but because of Apple’s policies and the way TotalFinder works, there’s no way we’d be able to get it in there. Sorry guys.

Check this out, directly from our dev team:

TotalFinder is not a standalone application. Technically it is a
plugin which modifies Finder instance loaded in memory. It uses really
dirty hacks to override Finder’s internals.

According to current [Mac App Store] Review Guide:

2.5 Apps that use non-public APIs will be rejected

2.15 Apps must be self-contained, single application installation bundles, and cannot install code or resources in shared locations

6.5 Apps that change the native user interface elements or behaviors of Mac OS X will be rejected

I believe 2.5 or 6.5 would be a show-stopper for TotalFinder.
