Window sliding animation in 1.5.4 on Yosemite is choppy (MBP mid 2009)

I have an older machine, but it’s still capable of running OSX 10.10, 8GB of RAM helps.

However after last update of TotalTerminal, I noticed that the window sliding animation (from top) is choppy and not smooth. I just went back to 1.5.3 and it is much much better - very smooth, ideal!

There was an improvement of animation in the change log, so it’s maybe related?

I have the exact same issue, Yosemite iMac 2011. It’s a slide down and fade in.

I am facing this issue on relatively new hardware on Yosemite. Very choppy.
