Is this possible, that each desktop space could display from a different Desktop folder? I have my desktop set to display from a symlink to an alternate desktop outside of the user directory, and is it possible to set a different folder to each desktop?

I’ve looked at it. It looks like we need to make a plugin for Finder that causes it to refresh the desktop folder because if you just change the symlink it doesn’t notice (unless you restart Finder, which is not reasonable on each space change!)
I started work on this, but there is a bit more research to do.
